The DELRAY JAZZ COLLECTIVE was originally formed when drummer Tom Regis, pianist Peter Primamore, and saxophonist Ben Sparrow joined forces to create a group enthusiastically mining the roots of jazz and also bringing their world, pop, classical, rock and folk sensibilities to the table.  Both Peter and Tom have extensive backgrounds composing for television and film, and international performance credits with major artists. Ben, hailing originally from North Carolina, has become one of South Florida’s premier saxophonists with a warm and engaging sound, swinging all the while. The group, also known as DJC – Original Flavor! has been well seasoned through gigging, and especially now, with the addition of old friend and deep groove master bassist Hugh Burrows. Catch  the original format of the Delray Jazz Collective for a wonderful trip through great traditions and new directions.
